The Band Perry is a county group of three siblings Reid Perry on background vocals and bass guitar, Neil Perry on drums, mandolin, accordion and backing vocals, and Kimberley Perry as the lead vocalist on the guitar and piano. The trio singed with Republic Nashville in 2009, releasing five hit singles Hip to My Heart, You Lie, If I Die Young, Postcard from Paris and All Your Life. All five tracks are listed in the group’s debut offering which was released in October 2010. In the initial phase of release their track If I Die Young climbed up to the Number One spot on Adult Contemporary and Hot Country Songs charts, while breaking records to become a four times certified platinum. The Band Perry tickets gained much popularity among country fans in the very beginning of the band’s career.
 
The Band Perry members started singing when they were still kids, living in Alabama. Kimberley Perry was singing in her own group when only a teenager alongside her brothers playing as roadies. When Ried and Neil were only eight and ten, they were already playing as an opening act for their sister, called Mobile Music Machines. When the trio came together to create The Band Perry, they joined the tour of New Faces in 2005. Three years later they were found by Bob Doyle, the manager of Garth Brooks, who assisted them in making recordings which were then sent to the head of the then newly opened Republic Nashville, Scott Borchetta. The trio signed to with the label in 2009, releasing their first single Hip to My Heart, which the whole group wrote in assistance from Brett Beavers. The track reached number twenty on country charts and was followed by its extended play in April.  
 
When Hip to My Heartwas off the charts, The Band Perry released their next single If I Die Young that was written by Kimberly alone. The two singles are part of the group’s debut album which came out in October 2010, with production by Nathan Chapman and Paul Worley. Their third single titled You Lie was debuted later that year in December and peaked on the second place in charts. The lyrics of this song are credited to the combined effort of Aaron Henningsen, Clara Henningsen and Brian Henningsen. Fourth in line, their next single titled All Your Life was made available on country radio in the August of 2011 and continued to climb up the charts, finally topping them in February 2012. In September 2011, it was reported that the album had succeeded in selling more than seventy-seven hundred thousand copies.  Their fifth single Postcard from Paris charted on the twenty-sixth place on US Country charts. Some of their other popular songs include Santa Claus is Coming to Town, which was released in 2011 and charted to the twenty-ninth place on US Country charts, and The Star Spangled Banner released in 2012 which charted to the fifty-ninth position. The former song is part of their album called The Country Christmas Collection.
 
Between 2010 and 2012, The Band Perry has received nominations form a host of award academies including Country Music Association Awards, American Country Awards, Grammy Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, 2011 Billboard Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, Inspirational Country Awards, Country Music Association Awards, American Music Awards and American Country Awards. In 2011, the band won two Academy of Country Music Awards in the categories of Top New Vocal Group or Duo, and Top New Artist, and later won two CMT Music Awards for Nationwide Insurance On Your Side Award and Breakthrough Video of the Year with their song If I Die Young. They also won three Country Music Association Awards in the categories of New Artist of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year, again for their track If I Die Young.
