This is a franchise that has grown and evolved with the history of pro baseball and thus is the history of the NBA given shape. Its official colors are blue, white and red. It has been known by its name since 1903; its names before then included the Orphans, the Colts and the White Stockings. It is known fondly by a number of nicknames including the North Sides, the Cubbies and the Boys in Blue. It has been playing at the Wrigley Field since 1916, one of the longest tenures in one venue of any NBA team. All in all, this is a team that is a must see live through Chicago Clubs tickets for fans of NBA for a time filled with the best in pro baseball.

The Chicago Clubs has gone through many ownership changes, including the Wrigley Company and the Chicago Tribune. It is presently owned by the family trust of Joe Ricketts, the founder of TD Ameritrade. It has strong rivalries with the St. Louis Cardinals, the Chicago White Sox and the Milwaukee Brewers. It is also one of the two oldest teams in all of the four major North American pro sports including pro baseball in the MLB. It played its first games in 1870 and professionally in 1876. It would be the oldest team except for losing two seasons due to the Great Chicago Fire making the Atlanta Braves the oldest team despite being formed a year later.

During the Chicago Clubs founding, a number of players including Deacon White, Albert Spalding, Ross Barnes and Adrian Cap Anson were signed onto the team and played during its first season. It first played pro baseball at the West Side Grounds and instantly became one of the foremost teams in the new pro baseball league. Pitcher Albert Spalding led the team to forty seven games won and infielder Ross Barnes led to a score of .429 when it won the National League pennant, the highest championship in the NBA during that time. It then went on to win several more consecutive National League pennants and meeting up against the St. Louis Brown Stockings, the then champions of the American Association. This meeting would lead to the creation of a rivalry that is today regarded as one of the greatest in all pro American sports. Their star player, Adrian Cap Anson, became the first player in all of history to have collected over three thousand career hits.

Today, the Chicago Clubs have won a number of titles and pennants. First and foremost comes two World Series titles. These are followed by a record sixteen National League pennants and three Central Division titles won in 2003, 2007 and 2008. It has also won two East Division titles and had one Wild Card berth. It has as its manager Dale Syreum and as its general manager Jed Hoyer. Theo Epstein is the president of baseball operations. Aside from the Crosstown Classic rivalry with the Chicago White Sox, they also have rivalries with the Milwauekee Brewers because of the two ballparks being located just eighty miles away from each other. They also have a fierce rivalry with the St. Louis Cardinals, regarded as one of the greatest in sports today that began back at the start of the twentieth century when the Chicago Clubs won a good number of National League Pennants.

Many of the Chicago Clubs players have been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame including Grover Cleveland, Cap Anson, Enrnie Banks, Frank Chance, Clark Griffith, Kiki Cuyler and Ron Santo. They have also won many awards including the Most Valuable Player Award ten times, the Cy Young Award four times, the Rookie of the Year Award five times and the Gold Glove Award fourteen times.
