Big Time Rush were formed in the year 2009 in Los Angeles, California, United States. The group is made up of members Logan Henderson, Carlos Pena Jr., James Maslow and Kendall Schmidt. It was named Big Time Rush and it became a major hit soon after its release. In addition to this, the band released various other songs such as a cover song, Famous, and their original songs like Any Kind of Guy, City Is Ours and various more as well. One of the most popular singles turned out to be Halfway There, which went on to reach the Billboard Hot Hundred chart, making it to the ninety third place.Til I Forget About You was another one of their hit singles, which was released on the 21st of September, 2010. This was issued in order to promote their first record.

 
The debut album of Big Time Rush was released on the 11th of October, 2010 under the title of B. T. R. It went on to debut on the third place on the Billboard Two Hundred charts and sold more than sixty seven thousand records within a week of its release. In addition to that, the record went on to top the Top Soundtracks chart. It was also ranked at the fourth place on the Top Internet Albums chart. It spawned numerous hit singles, such as Big Night, which went on to debut at the seventy ninth place on the Billboard Hot Hundred chart. It became their most peaking single ever. Their record received a Gold certification from the RIAA and has managed to sell more than nine hundred thousands copies all over the world.

 
Big Time Rush released a Christman special EP on the 30th of November, 2010. It was called Holiday Bundle and it included various holiday songs such as All I Want for Christmas is You, and more. The second album of the group was released on the 21st of November, 2011 and was titled Elevate. It went on to debut at the twelveth place on the Billboard 200 chart and sold more then seventy thousand records within a week of its release. It featured some immensely popular singles, such as Music Sounds Better With You, which had Ryan Tedder from One Republic as its writer.
